A few firsts for Claire!

Dear Friends and Family,

Claire had a lot of firsts this week!  Now that she is four months old, the pediatrician recommended trying some solid foods with her.  Here is a video of her trying this "crazy" new method of feeding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3ZLSNvcYag

On Saturday, our friends Aubrey and Charles Stanley came for a visit! It was a great excuse to go down to the beach and explore!  I had been waiting to introduce Claire to the sand for the first time when her Daddy was around since he misses some of her firsts while at work.

Later that day, Chris and I got Claire dressed up to go out to dinner with friends.  She looked so cute and happy in her bumbo seat that we took a few pictures!

Claire also got to face forward for the first time in her carrier!  She absolutely loves it!  Her head just keeps turning and looking at the world from this new, fun, and bouncy prospective.  I wore her to church like this for the first time and she was so alert!  When we are in the car driving and I have the radio on, she will start to sing along. So in church when the music starts she starts to coo along too!

This week I took Claire down to Commerce to have lunch with Nan.  Afterwards, we went around to see my former co-workers and introduce them to Claire!  It was so much fun!

I can't believe it is almost Memorial Day weekend and Claire will be meeting so many more of my great Kentucky Friends and Family!  Claire will be taking her first airplane flight and we will land in Dayton, Ohio.  My wonderful sister & brother-in-law, Katie and Matt, will be our hosts!  Claire can't wait to see her cousin Noah.  On Saturday we will drive down to my Dad's apartment and visit with friends from 12:30 - 4pm (Kentucky friends - Call me if you want to come by! We are doing the visit open house style!)  And at 4pm we head over to my Grandma's house so she can meet her first Great-Granddaughter and Claire can meet her cousins and aunts and uncles! I'm sure next week's blog will be full of fun photos!!!
