It's official! We are having a BOY!

Dear Friends and Family,

I don't know if the word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" can even capture how I have felt leading up to and after our ultrasound appointment on Monday.  As the big day got closer, I only got more, and more EXCITED!

This is my excited face in the waiting room!
My amazing neighbor, Veronika offered to watch Claire during the appointment and Claire happily joined Veronika's twin sons for some fun playtime. I'm so blessed to have such a great neighbor, she even texted me pictures of the kids playing so I would know that Claire was having a good time.
Evidently, Claire was a big fan of the train set!
When Chris and I got to the office to sign in for our appointment, I joyfully told all the nurses behind the counter that today was our BIG day!  We were going to find out the gender.  They all thought I was funny and wished us a happy ultrasound.  The appointment was wonderful.  Right away our baby showed us that he was indeed a "he" and we spent the rest of the time looking at his healthy heart, brain, bladder, etc.  The doctor finished up the appointment by saying, "Congratulations!  It looks like you have a very healthy baby on your hands!"  I didn't realize I could get even more excited, but that proclamation still has me grinning from ear-to-ear.  I mean, isn't that the one thing that all parents pray for?  I feel so blessed.
"Hello, from the womb!"
Can you see baby waving his hand at the top of the picture?
Here's an amazing 3D picture!  He's hiding from the camera, but you can see his
muscular arms and adorable fingers!
Our little guy has been moving around for the past month, and I am enjoying every movement! Now that I know our baby is a boy I am looking forward to bonding even more with him and daydreaming about potential names and nursery decorations.

Baby Boy Supple isn't the only one who leaves me grinning though!  Claire is one week away from her 2nd Birthday and she is constantly impressing me with her thought processes and her constantly developing conversation skills. I mentioned that we were starting to potty train and Claire had a day with about 3 accidents in a row.  She looked at me and said, "all wet!" each time and then finally carried a diaper to Chris and said, "All done, help diaper." So we are holding off for another week on pushing the panties, but in the meantime, she is going potty between diaper changes and before nap and bedtime.  So there is some progress being made!

Claire also didn't want Elmo to feel left out of our coloring time this week so she gave him a seat at her table and helped him to color with her.  I thought that was so cute!
Claire and Elmo color together! Check out her cute ponytail!
Something else totally cute is Claire + bubble wrap!  My Dad sent us a package wrapped in bubble wrap and Claire is so funny when she pops the bubbles.  Here is a short video of her getting ready to do some bubble popping, getting distracted, and then deciding to pop some bubbles for me after all!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2rU44hZ2gc

This week we also baked some cookies. (Note that when I learned at our ultrasound with Claire that we were having a girl, this is one of the daydreams that immediately came to mind!) Claire was a surprisingly good little baker! She helped roll out the dough, cut out the cookies, mix the icing and decorate the cookies.
Helping make the frosting!
Posing with the final product!
Claire points to Daddy to let him know she made these cookies for him!
I hope everyone is having a great week!  We leave for Dayton, OH/Northern Kentucky on Friday and Claire and I won't be back until Tuesday, January 15 (the last day she can fly for free!) So the blog may be a little late next week!

Love,
Bethie
