Spoiled and Blessed!

Dear Friends and Family,

This past week I have been completely spoiled by my wonderful husband!  Almost every night of the week and weekend, I had either a prayer group, a moms' group, or a birthday party to go to, which left Chris and Claire with lots of great Daddy/Daughter bonding.  Claire would get a little sad each time I was ready to head out the door and I would say, "Claire, do you want to snuggle with Daddy while I leave so you won't feel so sad?"  And then Claire would say, "Yes, snuggle with Daddy."  It was so sweet to see them together as I waved goodbye and headed out the door.

Dinner at my MOPS retreat!  Check out this gorgeous table.  Our host, Jenny Woodruff, really knows how to make a Mom feel special!  She even brought in a chef to cook for us. YUM!

Claire and Daddy had lots of good snuggle and bonding time this weekend!
I was even spoiled by Chris during our family time. Chris took Claire and I on a date to the local Frozen Yogurt place.  Claire, in her supermodel training mindset, wasn't interested in the ice cream, just a tiny cup of sprinkles, please.

Monday is one of my few free days during the week, so Claire and I usually take a trip to the Wegmans grocery store.  The store is a shopping event for kids with free samples, lobster tanks, a choo-choo train, and a big cow, who stands proudly in their extensive cheese department.  Claire loves all of these things, but especially the "Moo-Cow!"  She begs to see him so she can pat him on the nose.  This week he was dressed up for St. Patrick's Day.  Claire thought the hat and glasses were so funny!
So happy to see the Moo-Cow!
Claire is becoming quite the little helper and is gaining more independence.  She has independently worked on puzzles and pulled out other toys to play with on her own on a few occasions without begging for my interaction.  I am in awe and holding my breath each time I notice it happen!  After our grocery trip this week, she played with toys while I unpacked the groceries.  When she came into the kitchen to find me (and without any encouragement) she gathered all of the plastic shopping bags and put them away in the correct cabinet for me!  I was so proud!

Tonight, while I was vacuuming the living room and dining room, Claire ran up to me with a pirate hat and encouraged me to put it on.  She then put on her princess hat and pushed me out of the way so she could take a turn with the vacuum. I just thanked her for taking over and then cheered her on in my best "Pirate talk" while she struggled to push the big vacuum across the carpet.  Life is so entertaining and so good!

I hope everyone else is having a great week!
Love,
Bethie
