Happy Easter!

Dear Friends and Family,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend because we sure did!  On Thursday Mimi and Poppy arrived. We were so excited to see them!
Group hug!!!
We had an amazing visit! On Friday we stopped by to visit Great Aunt Ellen and got a grand tour of her Senior community.  It was very impressive and Claire and Will tickled the hearts of all Aunt Ellen's neighbors.
We also got busy preparing for the Easter Bunny by dying eggs with Claire!  It was Claire's first time and she colored eggs like a pro!
Saturday was our "big day of fun," when we attended our local Presbyterian Church's Eggstravaganza! This is the church that hosts my Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group and they certainly lived up to the name Eggstravaganza! The event was complete with an Easter Egg hunt, pony rides, 3 big moon bounces, a cake walk, popcorn, balloon animals, games for the kids, BBQ lunch, music and a fun spinning amusement ride!  We had a blast! Mom even won us a BIG basket of delicious cookies in the cake walk.  Nice work, Mom!

"Look, Mom! Lollipops really do grow on trees!"

In case you are wondering, I could barely walk straight after this ride! But Claire and I sure did have fun!
On Sunday we headed off to church to celebrate the most amazing day in history, when Jesus conquered death. I feel so filled with the Holy Spirit from Easter Mass that I just want to tell everyone about the joy, freedom, and victory I feel in the risen Christ.  It is such an amazing feeling!

But before leaving for Mass, we had an Easter Egg hunt of our own!

"Oooo! I found one!"
Excited to start hunting the eggs!

"Look at all those goodies!!!"

When we weren't running around town, we were home getting tackle hugs from Will, gardending/weeding, playing in the yard, or taking fun walks to the beach!
A tackle hug is performed when Will locks in on a target, he shouts their name and then runs at them with his arms open! Both Mimi and Poppy were frequent targets and they loved every minute!

Here is a video of the play in action! You'll see "polite Will" apologizing, and Claire trying some volleyball! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZU31WB6obI

Will laughing at Poppy!
Will and Poppy had a fun game going all weekend. Will would say "No," and Poppy would say "Please!" and then Will would say "No!" and they would go back and forth until Poppy tried to trick Will out of saying, "No!" Here's a video of them in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOI6xpGtv48
Claire had so much fun practicing her bike riding with Dad that she ran inside and made him a thank you note complete with drawings.
"Look!"  ...It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman!
Mimi would blow bubbles and Will would chase them all over the yard, then he would come sit right in front of her to take a brake!
I love his smiles!

These love birds are already enjoying retirement!
Time with grandparents is the best!
Me and my man!
Sunset on the beach
I love seeing pictures of these two!
Thanks again for spending Easter with us, Mom and Dad!  It made the holiday even more special having you here.  I hope everyone else had a great holiday weekend!
Love,
Bethie
