Dear Friends and Family,
This past week I was running low on diapers. I stood in the grocery and stared thoughtfully at the giant boxes of Luvs that I usually toss in the cart every two months, and then I looked at Will and I said, "Let's start using the potty!" His answer, "Uh, NO!" Claire was also on board. She really wants Will to start using the potty...perhaps it's the m&m dish on the back of the toilet that has her excited? Regardless, we had a great team of cheerleaders between Claire, me, and Daddy.

| Or maybe Claire is just a really great big sister! |

| Will loves his Sissy! |
Will tried wearing big boy undies for 3 days. He even had success on the potty...
once...in three days!!! (Ugh!) And then on Friday he had a nasty episode of diarrhea in the middle of the night. Luckily he was still sleeping in a diaper, but the next day he was still having bowel problems so we decided to buy more diapers and to put a rain check on potty training. At least now Will is more aware of when he is going potty, but when I ask him if he wants to use the potty I get the same answer as when we started potty training, "Uh, NO!"

| Look at this cute guy doing housework! Does it get any better?! |
Since we spent the week potty training, we either played around the house or went to the park. There is one park about 25 minutes away that just reopened after a huge remodel, so Claire and I invited her classmates to join us there for a play date. The new theme of the park? Wizard of Oz! This park is AMAZING!
| Watkins Park! (As you can see, they are even painting a yellow brick road that leads from the parking lot to the playground!) |
| Flying monkeys |
| Hot Air Balloons - The sign next to them says, "Kansas State Fair." |
| Claire climbs the Emerald City! |
| Dorothy's barn with a tornado shaped climber |
| Another view of the Emerald City - I mean really!? Did they even have a budget?! |

| Toto's house |
| Munchkin land |
| Cute munchkins! |
| Group hugs! |
After lots of playing, and looking around with our jaws dropped, we stopped for a picnic lunch. Will and Dellalyn sat next to each other and Will fought off Della's attempts to steal his food. Finally he just gave up and started to feed her!
| Della: "Ooh, Will! Now what are you eating?" |
| Will: "Yogurt." |
| Della: "Mmmm...that's good!" |
| Will: "Here you go Della!" |
After lunch we headed home for naps, but there is still more to the park that we are looking forward to exploring like a carousel, putt-putt golf, and a kid's farm.
I'll close by saying how much I love Maryland corn! Our local farmer's markets is selling six ears for $2.25. Chris and I have been picking some up almost every day. Claire is also a big fan and especially loves to shuck the corn with her dad on the back deck!
| Will joined the fun last night too! |
I hope everyone is having a great week!
Love,
Bethie
