Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Dear Friends and Family,

It was St. Patrick's Day this week and we were all feeling lucky!
I was feeling lucky because a pattern I found for a shirt to sew actually worked for me and Claire! I LOVE my new shirt!!!

The kids were feeling lucky and surprised when they found that the leprechaun had visited our house and left their favorite cereal, Lucky Charms!

Will plugs his ears after reading the leprechaun's note about the "Pop" of Gold!  Inside each balloon were a few gold Rolos!
I was feeling especially proud of Claire for a thank you note she received in her folder this week!  There is a girl in her class who has learning disabilities and I have been encouraging Claire to be extra kind to her.  I had thought these encouragements were being ignored until I read this letter and discovered that Claire gave Mary some encouraging notes at school!

Our whole family was feeling lucky to have such amazing neighbors and friends. Our friends Laura and Mike hosted a very fun St. Patrick's day party and we all had fun!
Our Turkey Point Island Girls group: Patti, Laura, Me, Veronika, Kelly, and Sarah
Our hosts and best buds, Laura and Mike!
Plenty of toasts to good luck!
Chris and I participated in a St. Paddy's Day car bomb. It was delicious so I don't regret that drink at all!
This weekend, Claire gleefully tackled a stack of about 20 math worksheets!  I was so impressed by her joy of doing math. I emailed her teacher (at Claire's urging) for more worksheets (if they are easily available). Her teacher wrote back rather quickly saying how proud she was of Claire and that Claire should bring them in for a prize!  Claire got a super star sticker and a lollipop for completing all the work over the weekend.
Will was feeling especially lucky to get a package from his Nana Barb and Papa Ralph this week! He loves his new fishing hat and vest.
And finally, I'm feeling very lucky that UK is still alive in this basketball tournament filled with upsets!  I'm so excited to cheer them on in the Sweet Sixteen! Go CATS!

I hope everyone else is having a lucky week!
Love,
Bethie
