Thank you for your prayers, the summer is going very well now that we've found our groove. The kids and I are having lots of fun, and we have even more fun planned for this coming week! My brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Ryan, are expecting their first baby! They are at the hospital now, begging baby Graham to come out! Please add them to your prayers that everything goes well.
Meanwhile, the kids and I are packing our bags for a fun trip home to Kentucky and Ohio tomorrow (Wednesday) hence the early post! I still have a lot to do, but we had some fun this week so I didn't want to miss adding these pictures and videos. We will be traveling from Wednesday through Sunday July 9th, so your prayers for safe travels would also be greatly appreciated!
This week the kids and I had messy fun! From making slime, practicing sight words in shaving cream, painting, and playing the game Pie Face!
The kids LOVE how shaving cream feels between their fingers!
Will was a very intent artist!
Claire decided that her fingers worked just as well as a brush!
Will's smears of colors actually turned out really cool!
After dinner one night, Will found the game Pie Face. The last time we used this game was at Claire's birthday party - the one Will and I had to miss because we were dreadfully ill! Since Will and I both missed out and Claire was feeling very brave/hungry for whipped cream, we decided to play a quick game!
Here are some videos of the action! We had a fun time!

On Sunday, Claire announced that it was a good day for a lemonade stand! It certainly was hot. So after making a list of things we needed, we raced to the store and returned home to make and sell lemonade. The kids had a blast selling! Will shouted at every car, "Lemonade for sale!" Claire enthusiastically waved her sign, and when they weren't selling, they danced to the music on the radio. It was so cute! They actually did really well with their sales netting $8 each!
Every year around the Fourth of July, our garden explodes with color just like fireworks! Here are a few of our day lily beauties!
Will giggles at Pirate Ozzie!
Claire happily spends time with her best friend, Jessica!
Christian took the kids out swimming!
And, of course, the snakes came out to swim too! YIKES!
Love,
Bethie
