Cable and Internet Issues, Our Townhouse Sold, and We Are SO Thankful!

Dear Friends and Family,

You may have noticed that there was no blog last week! We decided to switch our cable and internet plan, but Verizon (our previous cable and internet provider) cut our connection a day early! So we were without internet on the night I usually write my blog!

Anyway, it's been fun around here! We closed on our townhouse last week and Chris and I were both overjoyed! We came home and celebrated with a fire in the fireplace and a bottle of Dom Perignon after the kids went to bed!
The kids are loving school and having a blast with school feasts! Claire got her report card and had all CDs (Continually Demonstrates, which is the same as A). So she is on the Principal's Honor Roll and had a lovely note from her teacher which read: "Claire is a delight to have in class. She adapted to the rules and routines of first grade and is prepared for a successful year. She is a model student and enjoys being challenged in class. She is working hard for me and is always willing to try her best. Keep up the good work, Claire!"

Chris and I glowed with pride while reading that note!  Claire also glowed when I read those words to her! And then she used our good spirits to convince her Dad to buy her a special craft toy as a form of congratulations. (She really is one smart cookie.)
Will and his friend Malcolm at the Thanksgiving feast
The four year-olds did a Thanksgiving story for the parents and Will was very preoccupied with getting the number of fingers he was holding up correct...https://youtu.be/Av7mHAQSpvw
Claire and her best friend Sienna make a Thanksgiving craft.
Claire's class sang a song about mashed potatoes. I loved it since I love mashed potatoes, but Claire doesn't like mashed potatoes, so that was some great theater for her.

Finally, we are enjoying being pet owners this week!  Jessica and Christian were heading out to Nebraska for Thanksgiving, so we are watching the dogs. The kids are loving getting to walk, cuddle, and play with them. I'm also enjoying the company of these sweet pups!
There is SO much I have to be thankful for, but most of all, I am so thankful for my family and friends.  I love you all so much!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Bethie
