Dear Friends and Family,
I'm proud to say that we have been taking it easy the past week. Sleeping in, puttering around the house and looking for projects that keep us home all day! The kids and I are looking at rooms to reorganize and spent one full day rearranging their bedrooms. I don't know about you, but I definitely get a thrill out of rearranging a space. Seeing it new makes it look fresh and full of new possibilities!

When we aren't home, we've been lucky enough to get invitations to pool parties! My wonderful friend, Meredith, had us down to her home in Virginia for a swim date! It was so fun seeing her and her kids again.

This week we also took a little trip to Rockville, Maryland to see my friend Nan! Talk about seeing things from a new perspective. Nan has some mobility issues with climbing up into my car. The mini-van's height is almost out of reach. She normally manages getting in with a little boost from me, but at the end of our day together, Nan was having a really hard time getting up and in my car. As usual, I had pulled up to the sidewalk where there is no step and instead a ramp or incline for her walker. After trying to climb into the car for a few minutes she looks at me and says, "Beth, what if you pull your car right up to where the sidewalk goes up so I stand higher?" Leave it to Nan to come up with the perfect solution! Once she was up about 4 inches, she hopped right in without a problem. She is so smart!

The oppressive heat has broken, and we have had some really comfortable days and evenings. Great for meeting friends at the playground and for ice cream walks to the beach!
