Thank Goodness it's Friday!

Dear Friends and Family,

This is one of those weeks when I want to celebrate making it to FRIDAY. Besides just being alert and helpful to the kids while they are e-learning, Winnie had a haircut this week and was spayed yesterday. I had all kinds of anxiety about handling those appointments while the kids were in school but God worked it all out for me!

This past weekend, Will had his first soccer game and it was against our neighbor Abby's team! Abby's dad, Mike Billings, has a commercial fishing license and invited Chris to go crabbing with him after the game! They had a great time and ended up with three bushels of crab! We devoured as many as we could on their screened porch and then took some home to make into crab cakes the next day.

Will is ready to be called back in!
He had some great saves, but he is definitely still developing his coordination.
The crab carnage! Still plenty more to devour!

We love our Winnie! Winnie helped us start decorating for Halloween this week! She snatched up a plastic jack-o-lantern and the kids laughed and laughed as they chased her around the yard!

Winnie was so cute all shaggy but we needed her to be low maintenance for her spay appointment. So this time when I had her hair cut we went short!

This week we also had pictures for field hockey. I was excited because this year (as assistant coach) I got to be in the team photo! Here's a picture of Claire with one of her best friends, Ava.

As I mentioned earlier, Winnie's spay appointment was yesterday. I was worried and praying for her all day. When we picked her up she was very happy to see us but also very slow and groggy. We were worried about her that night, but the next day is a total difference. She is running and jumping - something we are NOT allowed to let her do for about 2 weeks! It's VERY challenging. As my friend Colleen said, it's like the Vet telling you to try not to let the sun shine.
Claire hand feeds Winnie dinner. I think Winnie was enjoying all the special treatment!

Our happy pup who totally forgot about yesterday - "What surgery?"

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Love,

Bethie
