Dear Friends and Family,
Life has been fun and busy. I find myself torn between feeling like, "This is SO MUCH FUN!" and "I'm exhausted!" all the time. When I lay down in bed at night, my whole body seems to make a great, big sigh of relief. Seriously, that first moment of going from vertical to horizontal is almost magical. I relax each and every muscle, and I know that in moments I will be transported into deep sleep! I think I value this so much because I've had babies and a puppy and I know that sleep is a luxury. I will never take it for granted!
I love all the memories I am making with my kids. These days of so much togetherness means lots of quality time, but it leaves me little time alone to focus on my own projects. I squeeze what I can in here and there, but it's a challenge to say the least. My kids are doing beautifully with virtual learning. For this reason we have decided to keep them as virtual learners until the end of the semester. I've even watched my friends kids for a few hours of school. Two were kindergarteners and they were incredibly chrome book savvy!
Last week was filled with: a surprise boat ride, Claire bridged from Brownies to Juniors in Girl Scouts, Will is preparing for his sacrament of Reconciliation, Soccer and Field Hockey games, and puppy playdates!
Our friends invited us for a last minute boat ride to Annapolis. We were so excited! It was a wonderful way to spend a beautiful October afternoon! This is Winnie and her buddy Addy! Addy is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and she is just a few months younger than Winnie.
The fields at field hockey were covered in mist/fog last night! I would send the girls running to chase it away! They had so much fun running through the mist!
And thanks to everyone who prayed for our caterpillars! We had one just emerge as a cute little moth! We will set it free tonight!
I'll close with a funny story. Claire has been cleaning out her room and closet. She found a dress in her closet that was a hand-me-down and she said, "Mom, this dress looks like it was from the nineteen hundreds!" My jaw dropped! How dare she accuse something of being ancient if it was from the 1900s!
I hope everyone is having a great week!
Love,
Bethie
