Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Friends and Family,

I know I've been neglectful in posting, so rather than playing catch-up, I'm just going to start again like I never stopped!

Today we returned from our Thanksgiving break. The public schools used Monday and Tuesday of last week for Parent/Teacher conferences and then the last three days were holiday break. So we had a whole week off. It felt great!

Chris' youngest sister, Megan, had her first baby in August. We have been eager to meet Sophie ever since! Megan and Joe decided that Thanksgiving would be the perfect time for a gathering. They invited our family and Chris' sister, Katie's family, to meet at their beautiful lake house in Smith Mountain Lake. We had a wonderful time cooking, eating, snuggling new baby Sophie, taking walks, and playing lots of games. It was just the get-away and bonding time we all needed!

Introducing my newest niece, Sophie!
She was our cute 3 month old turkey!
Megan and Joe are amazing parents! Sophie was cooing the whole time and they were so relaxed. I am so proud of them.

Winnie, Birdie and Emma (Emma is licking her lips for the treat I'm holding to get the group picture!)
Look at these beautiful smiles! Megan, Claire, Ellie, and Katie
Cousin Cuddles!
Our Turkey Chefs: Joe and Katie. We went the juicy route and won!

Time to celebrate a well done Thanksgiving feast. Each of us planned what we would bring to contribute and everything came together perfectly. Cheers!

Note: Claire is almost 13 and she is a smidge taller than me now!

I hope everyone is doing well! Sending lots of love to you all!
Love, Bethie
