Chris and I had a very productive weekend! On Friday, I decided I was going to surprise Chris when he got home from work by having a bunch of lawn work done. The weather was gorgeous and perfect for working in the yard. While I was out cliping away at the bushes with my little hand clippers, my wonderful neighbor, who was also working in his yard, came over with his hedge shaper and buzzed the bushes into a nice shape in a matter of minutes! Then he came back over with his edger and cleaned out my unrulely flower beds! It was amazing!!! Since I had all this extra time on my hands, I baked him a whole batch of cookies to thank him for his help.
When Chris came home, he was so impressed by the work we got done that he ordered 3 yards of mulch! Check out our before and after pictures!

Don't you feel like you are looking at the HGTV website?! Chris and I are so proud of our hard work and improved landscaping!
Claire was very cooperative this weekend by taking good naps so we could get the mulching done. When she was awake, she would play in her Baby Einstein activity bouncer and cheer us on, or point out when we missed a spot!

This weekend wasn't all work though! We had some fun meals out with friends and watched lots of football! I was sad to see the Bengals end their undefeated streak. That was a surprise!
