My Funny Valentines

Dear Friends and Family,

As Frank Sinatra said, "My funny valentine(s), Sweet comic valentine(s), You make me smile with my heart..."  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  I love my family! They are always making me smile with my heart.

This week, Claire was a surfer.  She watched a show where one of the characters went surfing, so she was over the moon thrilled when she found snorkel gear and a paddle board in one of our closets.
She wore this mask around the house almost all afternoon!
Surf is up with Elmo!
This guy, in general, is always making me smile!  Here is a video of Will continuing to practice his crawling form. He is very excited about it, so turn down your volume.  Claire also tells Will he is too loud by telling him that we are in a library!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKA964d3LcM

Just in time for Valentine's day, we got a big snow.  Chris had the day before off and then a two hour delay on Valentine's Day!  On both days when he went out to shovel, he came back in with a giant snowball for Claire!  Claire spent at least 15-30 minutes at the kitchen sink making all kinds of "soups and ice creams," with whatever she could chisel off!
My happy little chef!
Will loved getting the extra snuggle time with Daddy on Friday morning.
I love these guys!

On Friday, Claire, Will, and I had a Valentine's day play date with friends. It was lots of fun! Claire and I made sugar cookies the day before so they were ready to decorate!
Sophie and Madison say, "Cheese!", while Claire kind of pauses to smile. (Shaking sprinkles is serious business!)
Yum! "Mom, can I eat it?!"
Will also had a playmate!  Mason is just one month older than Will, while his older sister, Madison, is just one month younger than Claire!
"Hi, Mason!"
I also had an answered prayer this week.  I was just lamenting over Will growing up too fast.  (He already has four top teeth and two bottom teeth! The loss of the toothless grin = baby almost gone.) My awesome friend, Dava came up to take pictures of Claire just before she started to crawl and I was trying to figure out a way to lure her back up here to do Will's pictures when another one of my friends, Mandy, who had just finished photography school in London, emailed me to see if she could come practice taking pictures on my kids!  It was a prayer I didn't even know I was praying, and God answered it!

I had a great time visiting with Mandy, and the kids really liked her. She sent me a sneak peek of our photo session, and it just left me SUPER excited to see more! Thanks for capturing my baby on film, Mandy!!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!
Love,
Bethie
