Dear Family and Friends,
"Yo ho, yo ho, a Pirate's life for me..." is a song that I'm hearing a lot these days. Why? Because my super sneaky three year-old daughter has been singing it every time she gets in trouble lately! Did I mention that part of the problem with her sneakiness is that she is amazingly clever?! I had been warned that the 3's are much more challenging than the 2's and now I see why. Claire is constantly hatching new plans and schemes that involve anything that might peak her curiosity like say, all the plastic cups filled with water and built into a tower, or decorating the kitchen with the salt shaker, or just liberating herself from the confines of her clothes so that she can streak around the house. She definitely senses that she is up to no good, and makes her best effort to conceal her experiments (excluding her streaking) and when I discover her projects, she eagerly tells me not to touch anything because it is HOT! (Can you tell she has been spending a lot of time baking with me in the kitchen?)
Luckily for Claire, I think she is an adorable little pirate, so aside from the salt shaker incident, the biggest challenge for me is to keep a straight face when she starts to sing her pirate songs in response to my disciplining her.

On another very cold day this week, I took Claire and Will to the Mall for lunch just to get out of the house. We got some Chipotle and then Claire got to go into the toy store and hold and hug as many Sesame Street friends as possible. Unfortunately for her, all of those toys live at the store and aren't ever allowed to leave...

Will is finally popping his front teeth through, but a recent tickle/giggle fest let me know that we are far from done. The poor guy has the whole top set of teeth ready to make their debut. I can't tell you how sad I am to see his gummy smile disappear. My baby is growing up, and I swear he is doing it faster than Claire did.

And since pirate Claire has been declining photos lately, I have a bunch of this guy! Oh my gosh...he is SO cute!!!
 |
| I just love seeing this little guy in the high chair! |

| Or sitting in my lap at church! What a little peanut! |
 |
| I had to sneak a photo of Claire at church too. She is so good! She says, "Amen," "Thank you, God," sings along with the choir, and sits well in her Daddy's lap. What a little angel! |
Here's a close-up of Will's new teeth...just peeking through.
Despite being 8 months old, Will is comfortably in his 12 month clothes. Luckily he just fits in his sister's UK onesie from my fun friend, Lacey! Will helped me cheer on the CATS last night when they played Ole Miss. Go CATS!

I hope everyone is having a great week!
